This museum is created by the famous political cartoonist, K Shankar Pillai. The museum houses the largest assortments of costume dolls from all over the world. The museum is situated in the Children’s Book Trust building on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. With a separate access, a grand staircase leads up to a hall. The museum is divided into two halves; both the sections have more than 160 glass showcases, mounted on the walls. One part exhibits numerous dolls from Europe, UK, USA, and Australia, etc. The other part includes dolls from Asian countries, the Middle East, Africa and India.

It is a popular science center of National Council of Science Museum showcasing various scientific models, exhibition and artifacts. The concept was designed for the students to build their interest in the field of science. There are numerous galleries in the centre with various themes put on show including the models demonstrated at Human Biology gallery or the Dinosaur’s gallery for animals of Mesozoic era. These are very interesting and fascinate children. Also, other galleries displaying information regarding, India’s contribution to science and mathematics, Nobel Prize winners and other such personalities. National Science Centre also houses a fine library, a souvenir shop for visitors to buy various artifacts.

The museum has a wide assortment of rare stamps from the period of pre and post independence period. Among its many valuable possessions, the museum is also a house to the first stamp issued in India in the year 1854. The museum gives information on the postal history of India and India’s Philatelic Heritage. Apart from having all the Indian stamps, the museum also has a huge number of foreign stamps. The sales counter outside the museum, sells stamps from all across the globe.

One of the most interesting Museums in Delhi –
It is a sole and only museum of its kind in India. The museum is dedicated to the history and the evolution of toilets till the present time. It showcases numerous styles and designs of toilets used in different countries in different eras; exhibiting an interesting collection of chamber pots, water closets, and toilet furniture. The special attraction of the museum includes the collection of scatological humor and facts from all over the world that would certainly bring a smile on every face.

The Planetarium aims to encourage the concept of space and astronomy among the youth. The Nehru planetarium has an excellent sky theatre with the capacity of seating 270 observers for screening and live shows based on various cosmic subjects including the cosmic movements, stars or the solar system. The planetarium also organizes various astronomy quizzes, workshops, space art contests, telescope making workshops, evening and night sky watch and public lectures. It also features an astronomy magazine ‘Krittika’ to give information on astronomical perceptions. There is also a souvenir shop selling various informative compact CDs.
