AZZURRO

Azzurro in Saket is one of the restaurants that came up around the time when the PVR opened and just changed the shopping centre around it. It offers great Italian/Mediterranean food and has an amazing ambience.

The food is simple and appeals to everyone. You would love this place for its wood fired oven pizzas and for its sandwiches and desserts, especially the Tiramisu.

The place has a minimalistic look; the interiors have been done up tastefully. There’s nothing falling over you, which has become common in most restaurants. The place is full on weekends, so I make a booking before going.

EGO – Italian Restaurant

Ego is highly recommended for anybody who appreciates good Italian Cuisine. Opened about a decade ago, Ego has acquired a reputation for serving fine Italian cuisine. The dark interiors, loud music, and TV screens lend themselves to a ‘cool’ ‘ambiance which has gone down very well with Delhi’s hip crowd. It is essentially a place for the young. The pizzas and the pastas, specially the Penne Chilli Chicken, are first-rate, though the Lasagne and Canneloni can be avoided. The cocktails here are particularly good and you can try the Blue Lagoon and the Blue Hawaiian for a really true-blue experience.

KASBAH- SPAGO Italian restaurant

Spago, the Italian restaurant is quite nice. The food and the service are just the right and has a wide variety of pastas, pizzas, bakes, soups etc. The wine and drink list is no less. The frozen strawberry margarita is highly recommended. Service is above average and the waiters took good care of the guests. In all, a good place to go with your family or a quiet candlelight dinner.
